				<xhtml:p>Boston, MA - The Corporate Executive Board (NASDAQ: EXBD) (CEB) announced global telecom giant, Alcatel-Lucent, as the overall winner of its 2009 B2B Marketing Communications Awards for their “Hotel Experience” campaign. The campaign was created by Boston-based strategic and interactive agency, Maark, as a means of helping Alcatel-Lucent raise awareness and accelerate sales for their solutions for the hospitality industry.</xhtml:p>
				<xhtml:p>"The Hotel Experience campaign brought innovative digital marketing assets to a broad spectrum of sales and marketing contexts in a way that made a meaningful and measurable impact on both Alcatel-Lucent’s brand as well as its sales performance," said Anna Bird of the CEB.</xhtml:p>
				<xhtml:p>The B2B Marketing Communications Award is an international competition held annually by the CEB’s Marketing Leadership Council to "both benchmark the current state of the art in B2B marketing campaigns and recognize outstanding achievement." The CEB is made up of members from 80% of the Fortune 500 and 70% of the Fortune 100 across 50 countries. The submissions were rated across four key criteria by a panel of senior marketing executives from blue chip firms with a rich B2B marketing heritage including Holcim, Morgan Stanley, Danfoss, Vodafone and Philips:</xhtml:p>
				<xhtml:p>1.	Marketing Context — How clear were the campaign's objectives and how did it supports the brands long-term positioning and broader marketing mix?</xhtml:p>
				<xhtml:p>2.	Target Audience — How clear was the target definition and how deep an understanding of the target’s motivations did the campaign exhibit?</xhtml:p>
				<xhtml:p>3.	Message — What was the level of focus on customer goals (not product features) and did the campaign use clear language, images, and metrics to drive prospects to act?</xhtml:p>
				<xhtml:p>4.	Touchpoint Mix — To what extent did the campaign use an innovative and efficient mix of emerging and traditional channels that are traceable?</xhtml:p>
				<xhtml:p>The Hotel Experience brought together the ‘Trinity’ of an effective B2B sales process; Marketing, Sales, and the Customer. Maark began from the interaction point between sales and the customer, and really thought through how to increase Alcatel-Lucent's relevance in the hospitality industry and impact sales with innovative sales tools, a high-impact Web and social media presence and a highly engaging tradeshow experience.
